 I there should be some caching going on with these fdo resources classes.

 99.9% of the time underlying resources are going to be the same and should
 rendering increase performance.

 MgFeatureService.setUseFeatureClassCache(true/false)
 MgFeatureService.refreshFeatureClassCache()
