Error when starting Studio

When starting MapGuide Studio, you might see an error message that looks
like this:

 

Cannot find entrypoint for procedure
?Create at GisEnvelopeImpl@@SAPAV1 at NNNN@Z
<mailto:?Create at GisEnvelopeImpl@@SAPAV1 at NNNN@Z>  in DLL GisGeometry.dll.

 

What this means:

 

This typically indicates that your system PATH environment variable is
pointing to an FDO folder other than the one in the Studio installation
folder.  This is likely if you have Autodesk Map 3D 2006 installed on
your computer.  MapGuide Studio might not work correctly; SHP files
might fail to load.

 

What to do:

 

Here is a work-around. Before starting MapGuide Studio, remove all FDO
folders from the system PATH environment variable. Before running
Autodesk Map 3D 2006, restore the original system PATH environment
variable.
