[mapguide-users] Experiences with Oracle Spatial

Another observation of Oracle Spatial data....
 
Have you noticed the symbolization on Oracle Spatial data?   It shows a point, line, and polygon.  I'm assuming it's because Enterprise can't determine the feature type?  Not sure why it can't since it is contained in the geometry of the feature.   Even Mapguide 6.x was able to figure this out.  
 
Or maybe I'm doing something wrong, because I can't even get Enterprise to display any of my Oracle Spatial data.

Can anyone provide some feedback to me on their experiences with the Oracle
Spatial FDO from the Enterprise edition? Has anyone gotten it to work in a
satisfactory manner? Are you seeing stability/performance issues? What is
your setup?

Our experiences aren't great.  Some of our data displays but is quite slow.
Creating a layer from an Oracle Spatial source is extremely slow (over a
minute just to start editing). I suspect this is related to the reading of
the schema metadata, but I don't really know.

Even a simple yes or no would be helpful at this point.
