Info on SDF format?

Hi all,

My understanding is that the SDF format is open, and based on SQLite,
but I have been unable to find a specification document or any
additional information outside of what is provided at the FDO project
for the SDF provider, and in the FDO source.

Does anyone know if there is any additional information available on
this format?  I'm trying to add some information to this OSGeo wiki
page:
