Hi Traian,

Many thanks for this- it works fine with a larger dataset. This is great! For information- the connection string I needed to use was:
PG: host=hostname user=username dbname=dbname password=password

Thanks again

Jo

I posted a Win32 build of the OGR provider with PostGIS support over
here:

https://mapguide.osgeo.org/files/documents/12/184/OGRProvider_win32_pq.z
ip

It worked in MapGuide for my (small) test data set of 12 polygons :)
The needed OGR connection string is somewhat byzantine and has the form
described in the OGR documentation at:

http://www.remotesensing.org/gdal/ogr/drv_pg.html

Are you using the posted Windows DLL? The posted OGR provider binary is
compiled against a GDAL/OGR without Postgres support (since I didn't
have the required libraries for Pq). It would need to be recompiled with
an OGR that has Postgres support for it to have a chance of working.

Hi List,

Should I be able to connect to postgresql data sources with either the
ogr or odbc connectors? I have tried with both and got the same error
message when I try and test the connection:

System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (559)
MgFdoException.
