[mapguide-users] projection question

Matthew,

The file you want to edit is "nad83" in the "nad" folder. Just add your
entry to the end of the file.

One thing to be aware of is that Studio uses a commercial coordinate
system library; where as, MapGuide open source uses the Proj.4
coordinate system library. These 2 libraries are not fully compatible
with each other.

Thanks,

Bruce

Subject: [mapguide-users] projection question

I want to be able to use the California Teale Albers NAD83 projection
with the Mapguide OS server version. I see all the data files, and also
see a bunch of files in the "NAD" folder, but don't know which ones to
edit, and for that matter, how to edit the appropriate files so when I
use Studio Enterprise, my projection is recognized. Any ideas? The
following is the code I am using....

# NAD_1983_California_Teale_Albers

<11000> +proj=aea +lat_1=34 +lat_2=40.5 +lat_0=40 +lon_0=-120 +x_0=0
+y_0=-4000000 +ellps=GRS80 +datum=NAD83 +units=m no_defs <>
