[mapguide-users] Syntax

I guess what I was hoping is that there was a little more than basic
operands for numeric data, and concatenation for string data.  It would
be good to have a rounding function to get rid of trailing decimals or
0's and it would be good to be able to use parsing string functions
(such as left(), or right() etc.).  If these are available, I don't see
them.

Currently, no mathematical functions are supported for theming
expressions. It is easy enough to add simple math functions
(sin/cos/etc) to the expression engine -- which ones do you need? I know
there are plans to extend it anyway... 

 

 For layer filters, what functions are supported depends on the
underlying FDO provider.

Expression Builder for layers?  Right now, I am doing things by trial
and error, but would like to be able to do more mathematical functions
to a field value....is that possible?  The help page is minimal at
