Mapguide Open source - N-Tier Architecture

I'm setting up Mapguide Opensource and looking how the best way to structure the system architecture. In term of best parctice, I wonder which one will give us a better performance and I hope someone with Mapguide Experience, can help.

Option 1 - Setup 1 Site Server (duo processors), 2 Support Server (duo processors) and 1 Web Server (PHP)
Option 2 - Setup 1 Site Server (duo processors), 1 Support Server (single processor) and 1 Web Server (duo processor with PHP)
Option 3 - Setup 1 Site Server (duo processors), 1 Support Server (single processor) and 2 Clustered Web Server (single processor on IIS)

Perhaps there is another option that I shold explore.
