[mapguide-users] GetGeometry

hi friends

is there a way to obtain geometry property from a layer?
I would not hardcoded it like this

$byteReader = $featureReader->GetGeometry('SHPGEOM');
it should works with SHPGEOM, Geometry, Data or whatever...
