Thanks Brian,
I did turn off friendly error and my security is set to allow anonymous on
IIS. I am at a loss. I have set my client internet security to low and added
the site into the intranet sites. Nothing works

You can turn off "Show friendly http error messages" in IE and you may
see the problem. It could be a security issue in IIS. Check the
security settings for the website in IIS.

I am not sure what is wrong. Because I can ping the url or the ip. And
get
responses.
If I use the ip rather than the url I get the same thing in ie7...
Exclamation internet explorer cannot display the webpage
http://Webmap.com/default.htm after creating a simple start page
returns
the same. I can't seem to access any iis service from anywhere but the
machine it is installed on. ???
I did have success finally with the username at the end of the url. I
will
try to embed it next.
Thanks
Brad

What happens if you try to access that machine via the IP address from
the
other client? Do you get anything if you just enter the web root
(http://webmap.com)? If you don't want the user to have to enter user
and
password info, you can embed the web layout in another HTML page and
pass
that information programmatically similar to the sample applications or
you
can add &USERNAME=Anonymous&PASSWORD= to the end of any web layout URL.

I now have a working mgos and 22 days left on my studio trial. I want to
get
to the next level so I can make some decisions.
Running 1.2 beta, on xp with (IIS 5.1) ajax viewer and .net.
When I start my browser on the server machine I am presented with a
login
dialog. I am using administrator to login there. I have set in the host
file
the ip address to webmap.com. On another machine on my domain I have
done
the same. However when I use the same URL
http://webmap.com/mapguide/mapviewerajax/?WEBLAYOUT=Library%3a%2f%2fProd
ucti
on%2fACOG%2fLayouts%2fACOGAsp.WebLayout&LOCALE=en
I get cannot display page in ie7.
This is how I have always created an intranet before, am I missing
something?
Also I have read and attempted the thread previously to remove the login
dialog box. Can someone tell me specifically what file in what folder
and
what line I am supposed to add the username password into?
Thanks for the patience.
Brad
