Jackie,
At this point, they will co-exist. We are intending Fusion to
deprecate the current AJAX viewer within a few releases but that
decision would certainly not be made without community involvement
and feedback. It will also likely depend on how long the developers
are willing to maintain two separate viewer technologies. If the
developers decide that Fusion meets their needs, it may still exist
but would likely not receive much in the way of improvements. If
Fusion sucks too much (and it doesn't ;)), then the opposite would
happen of course!
