[mapguide-users] map admin, add server?

Hi List!
   
  I try to add a server in mapguide administrator site, I go to 'manage servers' and then choose 'add server' ,I define an IP address of one of the computers in LAN. But when I go to 'configure server', all the check boxes,... are inactive; and on top of the page it's said: The server is down. Please help me, I guess I don't understand the servers and how I should manage them. 
  If there is a document about mapguide site administrator, other than its help please inform me.
