[mapguide-users] Creating new lne types

Traian beat you to it Andy :-) It does look promising and how it gets added or ported over to Map3D is way out of my scope of knowledge at this time. As least when users ask I can tell them it is being worked on.

Hi James,

There is currently an RFC in motion to add many stylization enhancements.  It can be found here: HYPERLINK "http://www.osgeo.org/trac/mapguide/wiki/MapGuideRfc14"http://www.osgeo.org/trac/mapguide/wiki/MapGuideRfc14.  This includes custom lines and symbolized lines.  This would be a MapGuide enhancement, rather than FDO, so I'm not sure how or if this change might make it's way into Map.

The question keeps coming up in the MAP groups about creating new line types for styling in the FDO in Map 3D. Seeing how this comes out of the MG API I’ll ask here in anyone knows how and if we can create new line styles. Points and symbols are easy but I haven’t found a way yet for line styles. Any ideas?
