[mapguide-users] MapGuide Viewer asks for Password on Right Click

I have to admit that I never knew that the legend was hidden and could be
dragged in the Layer preview in Studio.  That has been one of my gripes,
that in order to test and view layer feature properties, one had to first
embed that layer in a map.  But, now that I try it, the properties pane does
not work when selecting a feature in the Layer preview which may be one of
the reasons it is hidden ;)  For what it's worth, I see the authentication
issue in Studio in this case.

I tried viewing a web layout in IE 7 from MGE SP1 with both the .NET and PHP
web extensions and still not encounter this problem outside of Studio.

We've seen this behaviour in the Layer Preview within Studio. You can drag
to expose the legend. If you attempt to enable the layers the Authentication
fires. Whatever frame code is here likely is not getting the session id
passed to it is my guess.

I haven't seen that even when using my own wrapper.  The sample application
does not behave that way either.  I'm wondering if you have some other web
server authentication issues going on.

It happens when you bring in the viewer using your own wrapper. The use does
not have to enter in the password since your app does the user auth session
id stuff but then right clicking on the left bars (Layers/Properties) brings
up a enter user password box.

Basically the development guide walks you through using the viewer in your
own frame or iframe so I am sure others have seen this. Just was hoping to
not touch code in the viewer so I can get updates when new releases are out.

Is there a way to fix the viewer so it does not ask the user for a password
when they right click the Layers ^ bar or the Properties ^ bar within the
left frame area?
