The Autodesk raster provider was supplied to the MapGuide Open Source
project in a sort of "preview" arrangement until an open source raster
provider was developed. The Autodesk provider is now only used by MapGuide
Enterprise. The GDAL provider is now what will be utilized by MapGuide Open
Source.
If you have the Autodesk provider after your 1.1.0 install, it must be left
over from your prior install. The file name is FDORFP.dll. But, do you
have an entry in your providers.xml file for Autodesk.Raster.3.1?

Subject: SPAM-LOW: [mapguide-users] MGOS and provider for raster data by
autodesk and gdal
hello,
i installed mgos (1.0.1 and then updated to 1.1). there is an
raster-fdo-provider by autodesk in the folder \server\bin\fdo.
i'm a little bit confused about it, because i was told, that the raster
provider by autodesk is exclusive for mg-enterprise.
who knows about this ? ist the raster provider by autodesk "opensource" or
is just "free" or is a part of mgos by mistake or am I wrong?
does anybody knows about differences in performance and quality between
autodesk's raster provider and the gdal raster provider?
regards,
robert
