Hi:

You must know also that MGOS 1.0.x has the same FDO version and
compatibility for MapGuide Ent 2007, so it's not compatible with MGOS 1.1.x
and 1.2.x, for solve this issue you can either install the
Autodesk.MapGuide.Studio.Site.zip or Use MapGuide Studio 2008 Beta Version
which it is shipped now with MapGuide Ent 2008 Beta Version and Topobase
2008 Beta 3, if you don’t have access to this beta programs you can wait
until July 5th when MapGuide Enterprise 2008 will be launched by Autodesk.

I want to point out that MGOS 1.2.x has the same technology and FDO Platform
version as in MapGuide Enterprise 2008.

You have to install a patch for Studio in order for it to be able to
communicate with 1.2.0 sites.  A link to it can be found at the very bottom
of this page under the "Links to Related Applications and Tools"

You may have something else going based on your description.  It sounds like
you are using the IIS / .NET install so you do not need to be specifying
port 8008.  It should just be http://localhost/mapguide

Do you get anything here: http://localhost/mapguide/mapagent/index.html or
here http://localhost/mapguide/MapAdmin/Login.php ?

I am attempting to take MGOS 1.2 RC1 for a spin. Is connection from Mapguide
Studio 2007 Enterprise (1.0.0.17864) to MGOS 1.2 RC1 a supported
configuration? I keep getting "Cannot connect to the specified site URL"
errors both on port 80 and 8008. 

I am having similar problems connecting with WebStudio that ships with 1.2
RC1. I am running IIS / .Net configuration from the install. When I attempt
to connect to http://127.0.0.1:8008/mapguide, the tool gives no feedback:
login dialog clears but no assets show up in the Site Explorer. 

If I run iisweb /query I see only the default site on port 80, nothing on
8008. Can anyone suggest some trouble-shooting steps? This machine
previously had Mapguide Enterprise 2K7 installed and I suspect the web
server extensions may have become mis-configured somewhere along the way.
