[mapguide-users] King.Oracle 0.6.2

Theming is supposed to work.

King.Oracle uses two ways to identify geometry layer type

1. King.Oracle will read geometry type from Oracle Spatial Index.
When you create spatial index in Oracle you can set geometry type and
also it is recommended to do so (speed).
What I usually see in data is that layer type in index is not set (you
can create spatial index without explicit type in Oracle and than Oracle
is assuming all types).
You can also use www.sl-king/Fdo2Fdo tool to change spatial index ype in
Oracle.

2. You can use KingFdoClass table to manually specify which
geometry type is ( and also other characteristics of layer:
identity,...)

You can read more about these on
http://www.sl-king.com/fdooracle/KingOracleSetup.html

and http://www.sl-king.com/fdooracle/KingFdoClass.htm

Thanks Haris! BTW, I am trying to use the King Oracle provider to draw
lines and points and it works great.

I was, just to test, trying to theme the lines and points and don't
seems to be able to do so. Is this expected behavior? Also, is it
possible to limit just one geometry type to for the layer. I thought
you had mentioned something about it some time ago but was unable to
find any record of it.

Have a great night,

Jonathon

Hi Jonathon,

This is a bug in provider, when you have compound polygon with multiple
consecutive arcs.

For compound polygons with one arc it is working ok.

In a coupIe of days I will release a newer version and this will be
fixed.

Hi Haris,

I am working with Oracle Spatial 10.1 with the King Oracle provider
0.6.2 Instant Client. When I query against a parcel layer (which
happens to use arcs), I get some strange looking results with half
circles and blank spaces. See the attached jpg for an example. The
data displays correctly in Autodesk Map.

Is there something I am doing wrong, do I need to upgrade to the 10.2
client?

Thanks for your work on the FDO provider, it is really cool.

Cheers,

Jonathon
