Autodesk Studio is the designed way to load DWG data into MapGuide, but you
have obviously run into some DETE problems.  There are several threads on
this topic on the Autodesk discussion groups since Studio is an Autodesk
commercial product and is not part of this open source project.  Try these

Other than that, you can buy and use Safe Software FME to convert DWG to
Shape or SDF3 and then load those through Studio.  This works great.

You can download the older SDF Loader utility from here:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=2931221&lin
kID=2733703 and generate SDF2 files from your DWG's as long as they are 2002
or earlier.  Then you can load those SDF files through Studio at which time
they will be converted to the newer version.  Note that this method would
have some major limitations, mostly that SDF2 only supports Geometry, Key,
Name and URL fields rather than unlimited fields like SDF3.

	Is there any way to conver DWG files to SDF format, so the data can
be used in MapGuide Server?
	
	As you know, there are a lot of data using DWG format in the past
year's enginerring work career. In oder to reuse the data in MapGuide, Maybe
you should load the DWG file into MapGuide server using MapGuide Studio
.BUT, when I load the dwg file using the Studio, I always get the error
message "initalize DETE failed. ", and I found the fact that many other guys
get the same error. I reinstall all the MapGuide Serve and Studio many times
and it did not work. If you know how to solve this problem,please tell me
how. Many appreciate!

	So,since there is no way to solve the DETE problem, Is is possible
to find another way to reuse the DWG data? Maybe just like preversion of
MapGuide(6.5), using the tool --sdfloader to conver the dwg file to sdf?
where can I get the tool? Will it be OK to conver the DWG file to Sdf  which
created by AutoCAD 2002 or latter version ?

	If you have another way to reuse you DWG data in MapGuide, please
don't hesitate to share your thought.
