[mapguide-users] mgservice at 100%

Sometimes when I get problems with the repository, I manually delete all
files named __db.00X (where X is a number) under the Repositories
directory. This is a non-scientific suggestion though and is not
guaranteed to work...

Subject: Re: [mapguide-users] mgservice at 100%

Is there any way to know approximately how long the cold backup should
take? I am running backupofflinerepositories.bat and the CPU has been at

100% for about 20 minutes with the db_checkpoint.exe taking all the CPU.

I see the backupRepositories folder and subfolders but there are no
files in them yet.

Is it possible the repository database is in a state where the backup
does not work? Are there any tools to try and repair it? This is a
development system so if I had to rebuild it from scratch that would not

be a huge loss but it would be good to learn how to fix this sort of
problem.

Thanks

George
