Thanks Dave, I will try that you said.
I guess your approach is similar to the approach follow in layer Parcels in
the example Sheboygan. In that layer the color of the parcels is diferent
depends on property RTYPE.

Thanks a lot, Claudio.

I believe it's possible. In building your SDF include a property for the
type (circles, squares) and then you can manually theme on that type to
enable different symbols for each theme category.

Thanks Dave, Now I dont undestand how to define the style of the new layer.
For example, suppose that I have a map with two layers, circles and squares.
Layer circle use the symbol "symbol-circle" (black-circle) and layer squares
use "symbol-square" (black-square).
Now I need to paint to red some circles and some squares. How is the
configuration of the style of the new layer so I can to paint circles and
squares in the same layer?
In other words a newby question, Can a layer show objects with diferent
symbols? and if would be possible to do this how is the configuration?

Thanks, Claudio.

You could define your own SDF and add the objects from the various layers to
that then create a new layer based on this temporary SDF and style it as you
please. This is somewhat similar to the buffer concept only you have more
objects to parse from each layer or possibly a selection set to add to your
own SDF. You may have to query each layer independently and call a routine
to add them to your temporary SDF.

Dave

Hello, I ve have a map with diferent layers an now I need to paint in red
some objects from diferent layers (these objects are the result of a
process).
To paint objects of one layer I did the following:
First I did a temporal feature source and a temporal layer. This layer is
almost the same that original layer of the objects that I need to paint.
The diferences are, the new layer use the temporal feature source, a new
feature class and was add the color red in the symbol definition.
Then I add to the map objects of the new feature class in the same x y that
original objects and every works fine.
But now I've have to paint objects from diferent layers and I dont know how
to do this using one temporal layer. is posible to do this using only one
temporal layer?

Thanks in advance, Claudio.
