Yes, that is quite possible. Look at using the rendering service in the API
or you can use the mapagent mapping and rendering operations directly.
Jason Birch also covered some of this in a class at Autodesk University.

You can also play with the mapagent operations in the mapagent test page:
http://localhost/mapguide/mapagent/index.html. For instance, go to the
Rendering service and then look at the GetMapImage test form.

Hi all,
I am trying to generate maps using MGOS for javascript and DWR disabled
browsers. I wanted to know if it was possible to create a pure HTML
interface using mapguide open source. The idea would be to generate the map
images as gif or Jpeg depending on different parameters of a regular HTML
form and then have the browser download the image normally (no Ajax)
Has anyone ever tried this ?
