It sounds like the draw order of your new POI layer is not above the interstate layer in your map.

Subject: [mapguide-users] Limitation on the Number of Labeling
I'm creating an raster image by sending a GetMap request to MapGuide Server.
Currently I met a labeling issue. The map has several layers, and one of
them is interstate freeway. It's labeled by its Number. Around New York area
there are a lot of interstate, so there are a lot of labels on the map.
Meanwhile I create another layer dynamically in my codes to show my POI. I
also label the POIs. When I get an image around New York, interstate has
labels, but my POI has no label, even if I set the POI label fixed through
MapGuide Studio. When I turn off the interstate label, my POI labels show
correctly. So I guess too many interstate labels cause MapGuide Server not
show the POI labels.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
