Yes to both questions.

Fusion is now its own project. You can find an updated fusion distribution
here

I think Fusion is the way to go. It is way more flexible and customisable
than the existing AJAX viewer. Just remember that.

- PHP is requirement.
- It is a 1.0 release. There are a few rough edges (especially the new task
pane widget)
