Do you have Autocad map or land desktop? If so you can export to shape
files.

Hi Kenneth,

thank you for your suggestion. I stored NMEA data with separate columns
for lat/lon...

Regarding DWG import, I'd like open source solutions, do you know
anything about? DWG is proprietary, but if I export to DXF is there any
open source solution to import it into MapGuide?

Cheers

Carmelo

	Hi Carmelo.

If you pre-process your NMEA data and extract lat/lon values
into columns, you
can use the ODBC provider and make points of the columns.
I would suggest some kind of service that regularly does this on
the MySql server.

Since DWG is a proprietary format, you can't do it with open
source tools.
Autodesk MapGuide Studio can import a DWG for you, and it is
fairly inexpensive.

	Hi everybody,
I need to develop a system for tracking and displaying vehicles
positions. I'm storing NMEA gps sentences into a MySql DB. Now
I'd
like to display these positions on a map. How can I do? I'm new
to
this, can you give me any suggestion?
I have to create the map too, because this zone is not mapped.
Is it
possible to create a map from a DWG cad file?

I hope you can help me
	Cheers
	Carmelo
