[mapguide-users] MapGuide Studio 2010 with older server veriosns?

I attempted to install 2010 on a server with 2009 and run them in parallel.  Tried to upgrade using the included directions (which include calling a bat file that doesn't seem to exist (or maybe I am blind?)).  Everything upgraded ok, except all of the symbols were upside down. Other than that, (and my custom changes in the Mapguide folders of course), the rest upgraded.  

The upgrade was not painfree however.  I ran into a bunch of PHP memory errors (fixed by changing the PHP path in the Environmental Variables to the 2010 path.  In the end, it was either 2009 or 2010, but not both.  Which actually is ok in our situation.

I have the same problem and I've been told that it will not be compatible
with older versions.  I have 3 versions of Studio installed: 2007 for using
the MG 6.5 migration tool (and also only compatible for 1.2 sites), 2009 for
MGE 2009 and MGOS 2.0.2 and below and now 2010 for MGE 2010 and MGOS 2.1 and
above.  I would much prefer some backwards-compatibility too.
