[mapguide-users] KingOracle dataconnection problem: Maestro/Studio

I copied FDO2FDO from my client host to my Windows server (Win2008 Enterprise with Oracle DB and MGOS).
>From my server...
When I try the "Test connection", it says: "Unable to load FDO provider: The specified module coul not be found."

>From my client host...
After that I shared the folder on the server where I copied FDO2FDO and did a map network drive on my client host (Vista x64), run the FDO2FDO from the server's mapped drive and opened the connection successfully.
On my client host I have Oracle 11g and 10g Client installed.

Now I know that both MGOS and FDO2FDO located on the server can't connect. But everywhere else it's working good. Meaning FDO2FDO isnt the problem, MGOS isnt the problem, DB isnt the problem, KingOracle provider isnt the problem, Win2008 isn't the problem, x64 isnt the problem.
Leaving the Oracle client ?!???!
Checked PATH variable, all good.

So, am a bit confused and starting to feel a little dumb. :(

You can use Oracle instant client. There are few dlls which you can copy into same folder as provider.

If you download fdo2Fdo, there is provider together with Oracle files. you can use those files (copy to MapGuide/FDO folder)and use Fdo2Fdo to check your FDO/Oracle.

I have Oracle 11gR1 database on the host. Tried installing Oracle Client 11g, but still no luck.

Now will try to install Client 10g x64, if that doesn't work I'll install Client 10g 32bit.

Am not so happy about it, but can't figure anything else.

My old Mapguide server connect perfectly to my new Oracle 11g database with the old Oracle 10.2 client.

I'm no Oracle expert, so I can only say that I usually install an "instant client" on the machine,
    and it works after that.

I don't have Oracle Client installed. The Oracle database is on the same host, do I need to install the client or just copy some DLLs to some MGOS location?

    Thanks for reply!
