Subject: Re: [mapguide-users] Redline Text

If your data has a spare column (or you can add one), simply set the
Feature Label to use this column, and
you can update the column data to change the text.

If you have no spare columns, you can add a new FeatureSource (or table
in a database) that has a text column.
Then insert points that correspond to the desired location (pehaps the
feature centroid), and update text as you like.

If you are writing this from scratch, take a look at the buffer code, as
it shows how to add a (temporary) feature source,
and corresponding layer.

Afternoon,

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out.

I am trying to create some functionality which will allow the user to
add text to a layer, something similar to how a user can draw a line on
the map.

Does anyone know if this is at all possible, and if so does anyone know
of any example code out there??

Thanks,

Bev
