It's not possible to convert it directly. The DWG file can be imported into MapGuide, but that will create SDF files. From there you need to use FDO to create SHP files.

I want to conert drawing file (autocad) to shapefile(ESRI) . Such is
possible with mapguide open source (any version)... any guidlines or urls or
code or dlls are appreciated.
