>From inside Autodesk Map & Civil 3D, command "Mapexport" allows you to export to Shape, Coverage and a number of other formats, directly. Take the time to select data attributes in the Source fields and Output fields.

It's not possible to convert it directly. The DWG file can be imported into MapGuide, but that will create SDF files. From there you need to use FDO to create SHP files.

I want to conert drawing file (autocad) to shapefile(ESRI) . Such is
possible with mapguide open source (any version)... any guidlines or urls or
code or dlls are appreciated.
