It is important to note that the OSGeo.PostgreSQL provider behaves
differently from the OSGeo.PostGIS provider:

 - They both have different connection parameters
 - They probably have different schema/class/property naming conventions.

You can use FDO Toolbox to see how both providers look at the same database,
and update your PostGIS layers accordingly.
