As far as I know, FDO and MapGuide do not compile cleanly under GCC 4.4.  The precompiled binaries were compiled on CentOS 5.4 and packaged for Ubuntu.

can you share your installation with us?

I am tring to install MGOS on ubuntu10.04--checkout source codes and build.
but, I cannot build FDO untill now.
