It sounds like you've encountered a bug. The error likely isn't logged because the error is occurring on the Web Tier and not in the Server.

I would log a trac ticket with a package of your data sources if that's possible.

I've run across a problem when accessing MapGuide layers via WMS. My map
projection is UTM zone 17N, so I setup the two layers with EPSG:2958 by
specifying "Bounds" and "Other SRS" in the layer properties dialog in Map
Guide Studio. The default global WMS projection is unchanged. 

When I make WMS requests, I intermittently get the following error. 

<ServiceExceptionReport version="1.1.1">
 <ServiceException code="InternalError"> The coordinate system load failed.
CSRS.UTM-17N
 <details>The coordinate system load failed. CSRS.UTM-17N </details>
</ServiceException>
</ServiceExceptionReport>

The same URL doesn't necessarily fail twice, and am I making multiple WMS
requests simultaneously, so I assumed it was some kind of  concurrency
problem. Sure enough, when I serialize the requests I don't see the error. 

When I change the default WMS projections as per instructions @
http://sandbox.mapguide.com/index.php/Web_Mapping_Service 
I continue to have the same problem

(as an aside, another small gotcha the reported error is never reported in
the error log)

Doh! Any suggestions?
