If you find a way to convert EMF to XPS, you can then (theoretically) use the XPS geometry directly into your symbol definition, since it's the same format. I realize it's a big "If" though.

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't support emf files. Would have been
nice, all of my MG 6.5 symbols were in that format. I ended up
creating all my utility symbols from scratch using graph paper and
calculator (lots of sohcahtoa @ arc calculations) though you might
have better luck with something that exports to a similar format. I
tried using inkscape(?) But it wasn't exact enough for my needs.  I'm
willing to share these BTW; just haven't had time to document them
properly.

All you should have to do is upload an image to the resource data
section at the bottom of the symbol XML editor in in recent Maestro
releases, and change your reference to the name of that image. If that
doesn't work, the format probably isn't supported.
