great to hear joins are working...

not so cool to hear about the performance drop, tho that said
there have been a lot of quality/ stability  improvements which
add a little overhead since 1.1

if you still have your 1.1 site going can you try the profiler
in maestro and report the results here v 2.2?

while 2.2 is unreleased, it should be a lot more stable than the
1.1 release
