There doesn't seem to be any FDO expression function to subtract days from a
datetime.

You'll have to either try seeing if you can pass in a PGSQL where clause as
the FDO filter (this may or may not work). Otherwise you'll have to make a
view in Postgres that is specifically shaped to make this sort of query you
are after feasible in FDO.
