hi Leendert,

normally, to implement maps you need a support software such as Maestro or Studio
for example, with Studio you can create a connection through the command File -> New -> Data Connection
obviously you choose MS SQL Server Spatial Provider
then you put in the usual connection parameters

regards

andrea

Subject: [mapguide-users] How to connect MapGuide Open Source Server (2.1) to MS SQL 2008 Server DB‏

Dear listmembers,

Installed the free MapGuide OpenSource (version 2.1) today om my webserver (Apache).
I don't know how to connect to the MS SQL database which is operating on it's own database server.

The MapGuide server is working properly on my local network..
There are plenty FDO-providers installed with the data, so that's not the problem..
Do I need to edit certain .dll files in an config or other xml file, to make the connection complete?

Much help is appreciated as I don't have any idea..and I haven't found any helpful guide..

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Leendert
