To follow up on this, I would say there is an issue with using the 64bit
MapGuide DLLs in your project... perhaps there are some dependancies on the
build?

The only way around this is not to use CODE BEHIND.  If you put all your
code in the aspx page - the code seems fine, as soon as you compile your
code using the MapGuide dlls (same code mind you but in CODE BEHIND) it
gives the errors.
