[mapguide-users] Join between an Oracle spatial table and a view

Thanks for the info.. I've created a new view in Oracle, I've added the entry in user_sdo_geom_metadata (using the fdo2fdo tool) and everything works fine.
I would like to add this entry manually (not using the tool) but the problem is that I don't know how the values in the DIMINFO column of the user_sdo_geom_metadata table are calculated...
For ex. : MDSYS.SDO_DIM_ELEMENT(MDSYS.SDO_DIM_ELEMENT(X,-25.2145,73.0093,0.05),MDSYS.SDO_DIM_ELEMENT(Y,-21.2004,74.7297,0.05))
And also if the SRID 8307 is the corresponding value of the LL84 (WGS84) Coordinate System, which is the correpsonding SRID value for the XY-M (Arbitrary X-Y Coordinates (Meters)) Coordinate System?

Thank You,
Iulia

Iulia,
I would recommend:
1)      Create a “normal” Oracle view w/your join
2)      Add the entry for it in user_sdo_geom_metadata. (No need for an index.)
3)      Create a layer for the view …
Does all appear normal and as expected?
All that I am suggesting here is to gradually add complexity. No need to boil the ocean from the get-go. You can delete/remove this stuff later.  But maybe you have already done these things.. in which case I am no help.
r,
dennis
