You can consume GeoRest data as long as its in a format MapGuide can use.  Or
if you are using Fusion, OpenLayers.

For example, if you are getting GeoRSS
(http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/georss.html)
you can consume it in the Fusion version of MapGuide.
