[mapguide-users] MGOS 2.4: Unable to connect to WMS server

Thank you Zac, for pointing that out: It must be a proxy issue on my network, because I'm not able to connect to a WMS outside of my network with Maestro, although I can display the GetCapabilities in the browser of the server.
I was just confused that I can access all WMS servers outside of the network with ArcGIS (running on the same server), which has apparently the permission to reach all WMS servers.

Regards,
Jan

P.S. Thanks for the hint, Jackie! With the interactive mode and Fiddler I could clearly see how the access to the outside WMS servers is being blocked.

are you able to open a browser on the server and access that site?

do you have a mandatory proxy server on your network?

the error message is quite clear, "Unable to connect to the host."
mapguide simply cannot reach the remote server
