[mapguide-users] RenderMap and selection color wish

Hi,
Before I submit this as a wishlist item, I wanted to run it past the group
to see if it's been previously discussed.  I did not see any related Trac
tickets.

I have had customers request that the map selection color be changed in
cases where custom code is generating the map image with the RenderMap API. 
I understand that this is configurable in the layout since it uses selection
overlays.  What would it take to add this as a configurable parameter to
RenderMap or is it too deeply defined in the rendering API core?
