Hi,
We have just upgraded a customer to AIMS 2016 and are experiencing frequent crashes of the AIMS windows service. The 2 major changes in this upgrade where moving from AIMS 2014 -> 2016 and replacing the Autodesk Oracle FDO Provider with the King Oracle FDO provider. The error did not occur in the old system.
The error log has this at the point of error:
<2016-03-16T08:33:28> 7512 Fusion Viewer 144.135.8.52 Anonymous
Error: Problem:\nThe application encountered a problem and could not finish the operation you just requested properly.\n\nSolution:\nIf it\'s the first time you met this problem, try again or restart the application / session; otherwise, describe the steps to reproduce this problem to the server administrator for suggestions.
StackTrace:
- MgRenderingServiceHandler.ProcessOperation() line 83 file e:\build\2016\re_ims2016_53_1-4136726\ent\os\server\src\services\rendering\RenderingServiceHandler.cpp
- MgOpQueryFeatures.Execute() line 125 file e:\build\2016\re_ims2016_53_1-4136726\ent\os\server\src\services\rendering\OpQueryFeatures.cpp
- MgServerRenderingService.QueryFeatures() line 1092 file e:\build\2016\re_ims2016_53_1-4136726\ent\os\server\src\services\rendering\ServerRenderingService.cpp
- MgServerRenderingService.RenderForSelection() line 1813 file e:\build\2016\re_ims2016_53_1-4136726\ent\os\server\src\services\rendering\ServerRenderingService.cpp
At the same time in the access log are entries for QueryFeatures (sometimes SelectFeatures).
<2016-03-16T08:33:28> 7512 Fusion Viewer 144.135.8.52 Anonymous QueryFeatures.1.0.0:7(Session:5796e406-eaf5-11e5-8000-005056816655_en_MTI3LjAuMC4x0AF20AF10AF0//MyMapName1458077517906.Map,MgStringCollection,MgGeometry,4,,1,5) Failure
The error seems to happen when there is more than one user accessing the system - we have replicated the error with 3 users that each have the same 3 layers turned on. All these layers are using the King Oracle FDO provider. The error occurs when the users pan & select features on the active layers (maptips on so tooltips displaying also). It can take several minutes of continuous action before the errors occurs.
Other system info:
* 64bit Windows 2008 Server
* IIS/.NET
* IE11 client
* Fusion template (based on aqua but customised)
Only similar online instance I can find is here:
http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/Error-Select-when-MaxFeatures-1-td5057779.html I have not tried changing the MaxFeatures parameter... might give that a go in the morning.

Any help/ideas much appreciated.

Michael
