[mapguide-users] Can we create temporary feature source using Http API?

HTTP API does not expose such capability. 

The only workaround in this case would be to "fake" it by setting a Feature
Source document and upload a skeleton SDF/SHP/SQLite file with your
pre-defined schema as a resource data item for that feature source.
