Hi,

Which MGOS is installed ? MGOS 3 or 4 ?

Also I found this :  I can now confirm that MapGuide is successfully connecting to the SQL 2008 Server at the same time that it reports the error –  «

Thank you guys! it worked

im still a newbie on it. So trying out different stuff.

Oh another thing that i am encountering as of the moment. Im trying to use sql server as a database, but when i try to add a feature in maestro and tried to connect to the DB. I am getting a mgfdoexception(559)

FDO Connection Status:
The remote server returned an error: (559) MgFdoException.: The custom error module does not recognize this error.
The remote server returned an error: (559) MgFdoException.

this is right after i click the "Test Connection" button, i know the user and PW is correct because i was able to connect to the db with sql mgmt studio.

I tried looking at the error.log on

C:\Program Files\OSGeo\MapGuide\Server\Logs

but found nothing about the 559 exception

I tried looking at the maestro folder but didnt see any log files there..

Is there something i am missing here or a place where i can look at the issue?

Root folder here means the folder in your site repository where you want to package all resources within it. So for example, if your site repository is laid out like this:
• MyMap1
o Data
o Layers
o Maps
o Layouts
• MyMap2
o Data
o Layers
o Maps
o Layouts
If you want to package everything under MyMap1, you would use either:
• Library://MyMap1/
• //MyMap1/
And if you load this package on a different MapGuide Server, it will re-create this folder structure on that MG server as part of loading all the packaged resources.
• MyMap1
o Data
o Layers
o Maps
o Layouts
If you want to package everything in the site repository, you can use Library:// or //

You can only package a single folder with the mapadmin, you cannot package multiple different folders at the same time.

Hope that helps.
