[mapguide-users] N-Tier Configuration Setup?

I did figure out that the webconfig.ini in the
MapGuideOpenSource\WebServerExtensions\www directory takes precedence
over other defined webconiguration.ini files. In the case of the
Sheboygen sample, it serves no purpose to change the webconfig.ini in
the ..\dotnetviewersample. Also, if you change a setting in the
webconfig.ini, you must restart iis in order to reflect the change.

I'm still stuck on successfully pointing to a different site server. Is
there anyone out there that has done this??? Now that I've figured out
how to change the site server ip in the webconfig.ini, I get the
following error: 'Failed to open URL: status code 559
MgSessionException'.

How do you configure an application to utilize a mapguide site server on
a different machine than where the web app is? I've got the Sheboygen
.NET sample application up and running on a machine running both the app
and site server. However, I can't figure out how to point the app to
site server running on a different machine behind the same firewall. In
the sample app, there is a webconfig.ini where it looks like you can map
the site server's ip. I can't get this to work though. I also noticed
there is a webconfig.ini that gets placed in the default 'www' web
extension directory. We do use a proxy server.

Shane
