Cache map images on Browser, using filters

Hi all, 

 

 

I am trying to cache map images on the browser with the help of servlet
filters. However, the map requests are handled by the mapagent (CGI/Fast
CGI) module.These requests don't seem to go through the tomcat. 

 

Hence, I am not able to apply a filter  on the response headers ( in order
to cache all png files) via tomcat. Any ideas on how to do this?
