I have just tried this and it worked. I added a filter in layer
definition (using window Filter - Advanced) like :
 
GEOMETRY ENVELOPEINTERSECTS GeomFromText('POLYGON ((424846.625766871
135378.111192346, 429754.601226994 135378.111192346, 429754.601226994
138486.919482501, 424846.625766871 138486.919482501, 424846.625766871
135378.111192346))')
 
and I got just that "envelope" of geometries into layer.
 
True is that studio reported some erros ( if you press 'validate' about
GEOMETRY etc.) but I just ignored that and pressed ok and it works.

Hello all,
 
I see that from the GetCapabilities that spatial filter is supported in
Oracle, so I was hoping somebody might have an example of how to build a
layer using Oracle, and applying a spatial filter.
