Points added to map at runtime don't display.

Hi All,
 
I've been trying to put point symbols on a map using the exact code from the
.net viewer sample (the code that places push-pin symbols) without any
success. I can create a layer for these symbols.
I can add the points onto this layer (debugger tells me the layer does have
points). But for some reason, the points just refuse to display???
 
What could I be doing wrong?
