Changing web layouts without MapGuide Studio

I am struggling with creating a new web layout without the use of Mapguide Studio. I have managed to make most of the changes I need (mainly cosmetic) by copying the folder for a working layout, and editing various php files in it,  but I have drawn a blank on changing the overviewtask.php file. At the moment the original overviewtask.php file is still being called, and I cannot figure out where it is referenced from to change it. If I can get that to work I would also like to edit the task list, mainly to get rid of tasks that I don't need in this version, but I would settle just for changing the overview task. Could someone point me in the right direction for the file I need to change?
