Interesting. Are you using the latest Google Earth beta? I'm using version
4.0.2416. MapGuide uses elements only supported by version 2.1 of the KML
spec, and you need a fairly recent version of the GE beta for it to work
properly. I'm not sure what'll happen if you feed MapGuide-generated KML
into an old version of GE.

Chris.

No, I do not get a NetworkLinkControl element in my KML. The only
difference I can see between Scott's and mine is that I do not have any
CDATA tags in mine. I am using the only version of RC1 I have available
which is installed on Linux Fedora 4 from the latest tarballs last week. I
am also not using localhost.

I just realized that this the KML when saved from Google Earth. I saved the
KMZ from the GetMapKml request and extracted and looked at the KML file.
That one does contain the NetworkLinkControl element.

Hi Andy,

If you issue a GetMapKml request, do you get a NetworkLinkControl element
near the top of the KML document? It should be there, but it's not present
in Scott's example. I have a suspicion that something in his installation is
out-of-date.

Scott,

Did you get my second email regarding the DLL versions yesterday?

Chris.

Scott,

That screenshot shows the Sheboygan network link folder as turned off and
the error coming from your MyWeather map. Does Sheboygan work or are all
localhost GetMapKml and GetLayerKml requests not working? The KML you
included looks fine for the network link definitions.
